By Scott Ashby
On Sunday, I spoke of 7 biblical values we ought to pursue at Graceway. These are values we ought to pursue in our personal life, marriages and families as well. The values I proposed are in the image above. I plan to write and speak more in the future about each of these values. However, out of these flow all of the priorities we ought to have as a church.
We’ll speak more of these on Sunday (January 7th) in the Adult Bible Study, but for now, here’s your homework:
1. Read Ephesians 4 and identify the values of Truth, Love, Community, and Growth. Look for these values in other passages as you read through the Bible. I’ll ask for your observations in the Bible Study hour.
2. If you are a ministry leader at Graceway (teacher, organizer, helper), I recommend sitting down and considering how you can better pursue these values in your particular ministry.
3. If you’re married, I recommend sitting down with your spouse, praying and talking through how you can more effectively pursue these values in your family.
4. If you’re single, get on your knees and ask God to show you how you can better incorporate these values into your life.
This year, let’s replace our own values with God’s values and then pursue those by God’s grace, with the strength that He provides!
